It is indeed terrifying. Someone I know very well and very dear to me got accused of sexual harassment. There were a few witnesses in the end who stood by his side and claimed he was innocent so he was made to pay a hefty fine instead of going to jail. He has never regained his confidence since and has opted to isolate himself severing contact with family and friends. These false accusations from false victims not only destroy a person’s reputation but indirectly murder them and their family. For the sake of money and fame, these false victims come out and diminish the credibility of the real victims. What a shame.
